If you sell products on Amazon, you already know how challenging it can be to manage accounting. Every day, Amazon generates multiple reports for sales, refunds, settlements, and payments. Manually entering this information into your accounting software is not only time-consuming but also increases the chances of costly errors.
With New TallyPrime 7.1 Release, Amazon sellers can now directly import Amazon Excel reports into TallyPrime, making bookkeeping faster, simpler, and more accurate. This new capability helps businesses automate transaction recording while reducing manual effort.
What is Amazon Data Import in TallyPrime?
Amazon Data Import is a built-in feature available in TallyPrime Release 7.1 and later. It allows businesses to import Amazon-generated Excel reports directly into TallyPrime without manually editing or restructuring the files.
The feature automatically maps Amazon transaction data to the appropriate accounting vouchers, helping businesses complete accounting tasks in just a few clicks.
Key Benefits of Amazon Data Import
1. Direct Excel Import
There’s no need to modify Amazon reports before importing them. Simply download the report from Amazon Seller Central and import it into TallyPrime.
2. Automatic Voucher Creation
TallyPrime intelligently converts imported data into the correct voucher types, including:
- Sales Vouchers
- Credit Notes
- Receipt Vouchers
- Journal Vouchers
This significantly reduces manual accounting work.
3. Works with Existing Masters
You don’t need to recreate your stock items or ledger accounts. The import process works with your existing TallyPrime data.
4. Faster Month-End Closing
Instead of spending hours entering transactions, accountants can complete imports in minutes, making monthly reconciliation much faster.
5. Reduced Human Errors
Since information is imported directly from Amazon reports, the possibility of typing mistakes and duplicate entries is greatly reduced.
